Surgery and Science

Dr. Biglioli covers all branches of maxillofacial surgery with a particular interest in reconstructive microsurgery. His main clinical and scientific research fields include microsurgical reconstruction for facial paralysis, trigeminal nerve injuries, neural lesions, head and neck surgical oncology and, generally, reconstructive and microsurgery in the oral, maxillofacial, and cranio-maxillofacial regions.

Maxillofacial surgery

Maxillofacial surgery grew from the intuitions of mentor surgeons who concentrated their attention on deformities of the jaw and facial skeleton. Modern maxillofacial surgery has since expanded into multiple pathological aspects of the oral cavity, face, and cranio-facial region.
